Restylane Vital Hydrorejuvenation

Restylane Vital works particularly well on sun-damaged, dehydrated skin, and skin which is starting to develop fine wrinkling. It can diminish the crepey appearance, restoring luste, smoothness firmness. Apart from the face, Restylane Vital can also be used on previously hard-to-treat areas: the décolletage, the neck and the back of the hands.

Besides Restylane Vital, a range of stabilized hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are available at SkinCentral for non-surgical facial rejuvenation, including the Restylane line from Q-Med (Restylane, Perlane, SubQ, Touch, Vita, Vital White Lightl) and Juvéderm from Allergan (Ultra, Ultra Plus, Voluma). Different products have varying particle sizes and consistencies to suit different needs.

The procedure:

Tiny amounts of Restylane Vital are placed into the skin using an extra fine needle. Injection sites are usually half to one centimeter apart. Numbing cream can be applied an hour before the treatment which makes the treatment easily tolerable.

After the session:

Some common injection-related reactions might occur. These reactions include redness, swelling, tenderness, pain, or itching at the injection site. These typically resolve themselves spontaneously within hours to a few days after treatment. Bruising, if present, can last for about one week. Additionally, palpable lumpiness has been noted after the use of Restylane Vital in some patients, especially if too superficially injected. This can be treated by hyaluronidase which "dissolves" the hyaluronic acid gel.

Treatment plan:

An initial treatment cycle consisting of two to three sessions at four-week intervals is recommended. After that, a maintenance session may be carried out after 4-12 months. The treatment plan is highly individualized according to the condition of the skin, the area treated and personal preference.
